Japanese Evacuee Resettlement Records Online

Japanese Evacuee Resettlement records are now available online at the Digital Archives. At the conclusion of WWII (1945-1946) assistance was offered to those Japanese and Americans of Japanese ancestry, who were removed from the coastal states and housed in internment camps during the war. Funding for this assistance was provided by the federal governments War Relocation Authority and was administered by the Washington State Social Security Department. The researcher will find: full family names; the Assembly Center; family members living with the head of family; information about employment; and other family information. Japanese Evacuee Resettlement records can be searched using the simple search or Misc Historical Records in detailed search.
