Governor Gregoire Honors Andrea Peterson, National Teacher of the Year

GRANITE FALLS - Governor Chris Gregoire today honored Andrea Peterson, the 2007 National Teacher of the Year, at a ceremony at Granite Falls High School. Andrea Peterson is a music teacher at Monte Cristo Elementary School in Granite Falls.

�I couldn�t be more proud that the 2007 Teacher of the Year is from Washington. I have always felt that we have the best teachers in the country here in our state and this award just confirms my feelings,� said Governor Gregoire.
