GOVERNOR’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Governor’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and knowledge in various areas of state government leading to a potential career in public service.

SCHEDULE REQUESTS
If you would like to request the Governor’s attendance at your event, please use the Schedule Request form.

We ask that requests for proclamations, greetings, and other forms of recognition be submitted at least two weeks prior to the due date. Please also provide a contact name, address, and phone number, and date by which the message is needed. Thank you.

LOCAL ISSUES
Governor Locke does not have authority over issues decided upon by locally elected officials. If you have concerns with such issues, please contact your city or county government office.

FEDERAL ISSUES
As a state government official, Governor Locke does not have jurisdiction over federal agencies. A representative of the federal government can address issues regarding a federal agency or federal legislation. Washington's U.S. Senators and Representatives handle federal government issues on behalf of Washington's citizens every day and highly value their constituents' concerns.

ELECTED OFFICIALS
The following state officials are elected by the people, rather than appointed by the governor. If you have any concerns about matters that are handled by these offices, you can contact them directly: Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, State Auditor, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Insurance Commissioner, Commissioner of Public Lands.
