| Introduction |
These records include indexes and images for marriage certificates recorded by the Stevens County Auditor between 1945 and 2008. These records also include the names of people married in Stevens County from 1859 to 1947. The names were taken from Catholic Church records, newspaper articles, marriage licenses, marriage record books, marriage registers, and marriage statistics books. A record of marriage does not mean that the marriage was actually performed. For information about this index, email the Historical Records Project at: hrp@sos.wa.gov or the Northeast Washington Genealogical Society at http://www.newgs.org/ Learn about the documentation of marriage in Washington and what information is found in the various record types by selecting the tab that says "About this Collection" here.
