| Introduction |
These records include Resolutions 534 through 2008-17 (with earlier resolutions being unnumbered) enacted by the Issaquah City Council for meetings from June 4, 1923 to Oct 6, 2008. The earliest resolutions were unnumbered prior to the mid 1930s. Later, until the mid-1970s, the resolutions were numbered in sequence with the ordinances. The first numbered resolution is 534 and the last in this sequence is 1943. Numbering then restarts at 70-01, designating year and number of resolution. Early resolutions are in a variety of formats, including clippings from published resolutions.
Resolutions are official or formal statements of determination, decision, or opinion passed by a council, commission, or board on matters before that body. The resolutions in this collection are indexed by date and by resolution number. The City of Issaquah is located in King County. It incorporated in 1892 as the Town of Gilman. The name Issaquah was adopted in 1899. All records are in English. These records are open for research. Filmed by Washington State Archives, Imaging and Preservation Services, and indexed by the staff of the Puget Sound Regional Branch. |
