Introduction |
This collection includes portraits of Pierce County Superior Court Judges. These images were collected by the Pierce County Superior Court.
Superior court judges in Pierce County are elected to four-year terms. Vacancies between elections are filled by appointment of the Governor, and the newly appointed judge serves until the next general election. To qualify for the position, a person must be an attorney admitted to practice in Washington. These images are open for research. Photographs were digitized and indexed by the Washington State Archives. Contemporary portraits will be added to this collection as part of an ongoing project between the Pierce County Superior Court and Washington State Archives. |
