Notes from transcriber Suzanne Livingstone, May 2011: “Directions: From intersection of Newport Way NW and W Sunset Way in Issaquah, head west on W Sunset Way (W Sunset Way splits off to the right, Mt Park Blvd to the left). Continue approximately up hill 0.75miles. Left on Mt Olympus Dr NW 0.2miles. Entrance to the cemetery is on the left side, watch for Upper Hillside Cemetery sign. Drive thru cemetery gate and back to the cemetery.” “Cemetery Contact: City of Issaquah 425-837-3000.” “This is a very nice cemetery that you can drive thru all the way around. There is plenty of room for cars no gate. Many of the plots are bordered with cement type blocks above ground to outline the plots. I was able to read 503 tombstone records from the visible and legible stones. There are about 25 stones that are either not legible or there is no stone. The oldest burial was 1907.” “This is a very small newer cemetery that is fenced in and very well kept. There is lots of parking and a turnaround by the flag pole. The earliest burial found was 1961.” “I walked and read all the visible stones in the cemetery in May 2011.”
