These records include the minutes of the Camas Cemetery Association for monthly and special meetings of the Board of Directors for March 7, 1921 through May 7, 1924; March 19, 1926 through June 9, 1932; January 5, 1935; April 11, 1938 through October 21, 1974; February 1, 1977 through December 11, 1979; January 27, 1983 through December 11, 1985; and October 14, 1999 through December 12, 2006. Also included are annual and special meetings of the Association’s members for December 15, 1920 through 1921, 1926 through 1932, 1940 through 1942, 1949 through 1974, 1977 through 1981, 1983, 1985, 1999, and 2003 through 2005.
Minutes are the official record of the proceedings of the cemetery association. Minutes may include date, directors or members present, maintenance issues, budgets, bills, purchases, and other cemetery business. The Camas Cemetery is located north of NE 19th and NE Oak Street in the Southeast ¼ of Section 2, Township 1 North, Range 3 East, in Camas, Washington. It was plotted in 1885. The Camas Cemetery Association was formed on December 12, 1920, when it took over responsibilities of maintenance and operational control from the City of Camas. The Association was dissolved when responsibility was transferred back to the City of Camas on January 1, 2007. All records are in English. These records are open for research.
