Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, Dec 24, 2006:
“To reach this cemetery, from Endicott drive northeast 3.9 miles, driving toward Saint John. Cemetery is on the left or north side of the road, on a small hillside.”
“This small cemetery was established about 1902 by the Zion Lutheran Church, judging from the death dates. The last death and burial was in 2003.”
“There is no longer a church and the cemetery gets little care. One can see evidence where some burial sites are kept cleaned out, while others are neglected.”
“Listings with an asterisk * are found in a transcription done in 1973 by Lorraine White and Margie Robertson, for which I found no existing stone or marker.”
“I walked and read this cemetery on Aug 14, 2006, using my digital camera. I have a photo of every existing headstone.”
