| Agency History: | Clark County was one of the original counties in Washington State. It was first organized by the Oregon Provisional Legislature in 1845 as Vancouver District. It was named Clark after the explorer, William Clark in 1849 and is located in the south western corner of the state. The county seat is Vancouver. |
