Agency History: | The town of Benton City is a non-charter code city, with a Mayor-Council form of government. The town was founded in 1909 by F.L. Pitman, an engineer for the Oregon Washington Railroad. Benton City was incorporated in 1945 and is located off of Interstate 82 in Benton County. |
