Governor Gary Locke presents the...
Summer Reading Challenge

Take the challenge!

Children and groups do not have to pre-register to participate in the 2004 Governor's Summer Reading Challenge!

Just keep track of your reading between the time school is out in June and Labor Day, Sept. 6th. Report your reading once you have achieved 15 hours (or more!). The reporting deadline is Sept. 18, 2004.

Online registration for individual readers and groups will be available in mid-June.

Individuals and groups also can report their summer reading by writing a letter to Governor Locke at the address below. A reporting form is available for your use.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: http://www.governor.wa.gov/contact/govemail.htm.

Certificates for the 2004 Governor's Summer Reading Challenge will be mailed in October 2004. The random drawing will take place at the beginning of October.
