Locke issues stadium financing task force recommendations

OLYMPIA - Gov. Gary Locke today made public the summary recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Stadium Financing Task Force, which examined ways to finance construction of a new Seahawks stadium. The governor shared the summary with legislative leaders and the media shortly after receiving it.


"I want to thank task force members for reviewing this complex issue in such a short time frame," said Locke. "I'm pleased they were able to meet my requirements. I look forward to reviewing the complete report."


Locke and representatives of Football Northwest will meet with legislative leaders at 3 p.m. Thursday. The governor will be available for comment afterward in his conference room at approximately 4 p.m.
