Locke makes statement regarding the impeachment of President Clinton

OLYMPIA — This is a sad day for our Nation. It is now extremely important for the Senate to bring this to a quick conclusion. I have said before how disappointed I was in the President's personal behavior. But our country continues to prosper under his leadership, and I do not believe he should resign. The President needs to finish his term because he is pursuing the work the people elected him to do.
