Gov. Gary Locke’s Statement on War with Iraq

Gov. Gary Locke today issued the following statement regarding the onset of war with Iraq:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the men and women serving in our nation's armed forces. We are profoundly humbled by their courage, willingness to serve and dedication to our country.

“We hope it will be short with a minimum of casualties on all sides.

“Our hearts go out to the families of the troops who are waiting for their loved ones here at home. May God be with all of them.”
