EXECUTIVE ORDER  74-04

EXECUTIVE ORDER RESCINDING 73-09

On November 8, 1973 Executive Order No. 73-09 was issued to implement the recommendations of the Electric Emergency Curtailment and/or Allocation Committee that the Centralia Steam Plant be allowed to increase its power output, with temporary operation in excess of existing air quality standards being permitted subject to continuous monitoring and cessation in case of a hazard to public health and safety.

Since there is at present no longer an emergency in respect to reservoir storage for hydro generation, the Electrical Allocation Committee has recommended that the need for EO 73-09 is no longer evident.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, do by the virtue of the power vested in me, rescind Executive Order No. 73-09 permitting a temporary waiver of particulate emission standards by the Centralia Steam Plant operated by the Pacific Power and Light Company.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the seal of the State of
Washington to be affixed at Olympia this
5th day of February A.D., Nineteen hundred and seventy-four.

Daniel J. Evans
Governor of Washington
