EXECUTIVE ORDER  69-06

WHEREAS, the Urban Affairs Council and the Commission on the Cause and Prevention of Civil Disorder have submitted their report, and

WHEREAS, it is important that the impetus attained from these reports and the citizen involvement not be lost, and

WHEREAS, it is important that the recommendations of the Council and Commission be studied to see what effect they have had and to see if other groups and individuals can be made aware of the recommendations and then act on them,

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, do hereby authorize follow-up on the reports of the Urban Affairs Council and the Commission on the Cause and Prevention of Civil Disorder be conducted as a separate program within the Office of the Secretary of State to analyze the present status of the recommendations of the reports, and to explore methods of implementing the recommendations.
