Purpose Statement

The Governor’s Commission on Early Learning is committed to creating an ongoing group that will: Help raise the level of awareness to improve the environment for raising children; Identify an integrated approach that is community based and family focused; Give guidance and inspire parents, all caregivers and communities to develop the best for all children living in Washington State. So that: Public discussion is framed and focused by the commission work. Public and private resources are mobilized and prioritized to provide parent education and comprehensive support for children’s learning and development. The community, families and government work in collaborative ways.
