Washington Health Care Facilities Authority
RCW 70.37

The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority issues tax-exempt, nonrecourse revenue bonds and then lends the proceeds to qualified, not-for-profit health care facilities in Washington State pursuant to a loan and security agreement. Health care facilities may use the bond proceeds for construction, remodeling, equipment, refinancing of debt, or any other approved purpose.

Washington Health Care Facilities Authority Trust Fund
The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority Trust Fund is used to pay all expenses of the Authority. Authority revenues are derived froom fees and charges to Authority health care clients (based on the bond principal outstanding each year), application fees, interest contributions, and grants. The Authority sets aside approximately $200,000 as an insurance reserve fund to cover agency insurance contingencies and fund insurance deductibles. Funds may not leagally be provided to the agency by the state of Washington.
