TEXT OF THE PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR
AMENDING PROCLAMATION OF AN EMERGENCY
The severe winter storm which began November
19, 1996 is continuing to cause extensive damage in Washington
State.
WHEREAS, extensive
damages are occurring to roads, homes, and businesses in Pend
Oreille County; and
WHEREAS, persons
and property are and will be without power for an extended period
of time and life and property are at risk in Pend Oreille County;
and
NOW THEREFORE, I, MIKE LOWRY,
Governor of the state of Washington as a result of the aforementioned
situation and under RCW 43.06 and 38.52, do hereby amend the proclamation
of November 20, 1996, and further proclaim that a State of Emergency
exists in Pend Oreille County and authorize execution of the Washington
State Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
