Lowry appoints Rulli to Clark County Superior Court

OLYMPIA - Gov. Mike Lowry today named Vancouver attorney James. E. Rulli to a newly created seventh position on the Clark County Superior Court. Rulli has been a part-time commissioner of the court since 1993.

"James Rulli comes highly recommended as a person with a solid body of criminal and civil law experience and a fair-minded approach to justice," Lowry said. "He will make an excellent addition to the court."

Rulli, 48, has run a private law practice in Vancouver since 1976. He is past chairman of the Criminal Defense Section of the Clark County Bar Association and is currently serving on the Family Law Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association. He is also a judge pro-tem in the Clark County District and Superior Courts. Rulli has also served on the board of the Southwest Washington Chapter of the March of Dimes for seven years.

Rulli will begin his term July 19 and stands for re-election this fall. He will earn $99,015.
