Gov. Lowry to travel to Washington, D.C. for National Governors' Association conference
OLYMPIA -- Gov. Mike Lowry will travel to Washington, D.C. Friday (Feb. 2) for the 68th National Governors' Association conference this weekend.
The nation's governors will meet to discuss state and national issues, including the economy, education and the environment during the four-day visit. Lowry also will visit the White House for a dinner with President and Mrs. Clinton Sunday evening.
The conference will begin Saturday morning with an opening press conference at the J.W. Marriott Hotel at National Place and conclude Tuesday afternoon.
