Governor to visit Spokane

OLYMPIA — Gov. Gary Locke will visit Spokane on Friday, April 11. His itinerary will focus on the top priority concerns of education and public safety.

The visit is one of many community tours the governor plans during his administration. He recently visited other cities including Vancouver, Yakima and Bellingham. "I want to reach out and listen to the concerns of people throughout our state," Locke said.

During his visit to Spokane, Locke will tour a juvenile court facility and a vocational education program. He also will hold a town hall meeting at Spokane Community College.
