Locke names students to college boards of trustees and regents

OLYMPIA — Gov. Gary Locke today announced the student selections for college boards of trustees and boards of regents.

College Board of Trustees/Board of Regents

The board is the governing body of the college.

- Sinnamon Tierney, of Lacey, was appointed to The Evergreen State College, Board of Trustees. Tierney is studying for her master's degree in public administration. She serves as co-coordinator for the Masters in Public Administration graduate student program.

- Christopher S. Knaus, of Seattle, was appointed to the University of Washington, Board of Regents. Knaus is a doctoral student in educational leadership and policy studies. He is a graduate assistant to the associate provost for academic planning.

- Bernadett Buchanan, of Spokane, was appointed to the Washington State University, Board of Regents. Buchanan is a senior majoring in social studies with a minor in comparative American cultures. She chairs the Coalition for Women Students.

- Melisa L. Dybbro, of Bremerton, was appointed to the Eastern Washington University, Board of Trustees. Dybbro is a senior studying sociology. She is the academic affairs representative for the Associated Students of Eastern Washington University.

- Nicholas French, of Everett, was appointed to the Central Washington University, Board of Trustees. French is a junior studying political science, history education, and philosophy. He is the president and co-founder of the National Residence Hall Honorary.

- Natalie Quick, of Puyallup, was appointed to the Western Washington University, Board of Trustees. Quick is junior majoring in public relations with a minor in political science. She is a sales associate at a retail clothing store.

All terms expire May 31, 2000.
