Locke makes appointments to state boards and commissions

OLYMPIA - Gov. Gary Locke today announced appointments for several boards and commissions.

Information Services Board
The board develops standards and sets policies for managing state information services.

Everett Billingslea, of Seattle, currently serves as the general counsel to the Governor's Office. His term on the Information Services Board is at the pleasure of the Governor.

Bates Technical College, Board of Trustees
The board of trustees is the governing body of Bates Technical College.

Lyle Quasim, of Puyallup, is currently the chief of staff for Pierce County Executive John Landenberg. His term expires Sept. 30, 2001.

Highline Community College, Board of Trustees
The board of trustees is the governing body of Highline Community College.

Michael J. Allan, of Des Moines, currently heads the Michael James Allan Company. His term expires Sept. 30, 2005.
