*For your convenience, a running total is calculated at the bottom of the form.

Gasoline: Estimate the number of gallons of gasoline you buy each month. Use last month's gasoline receipts and enter the figure in the first field then click the "x" button to calculate monthly household emissions.

gallons = lbs. C02

Electricity: Find an electricity bill from April or October. Either of these should give you a good average for the year. Locate kWh (kilowatt hours) used and enter the figure in the first field then click the "x" button to calculate monthly household emissions.

  kWh   = lbs. C02

Natural gas: If you use natural gas, find your April or October bill and see how many therms you used. Enter the figure in the first field then click the "x" button to calculate monthly household emissions.

therms = lbs. C02

Heating oil: If you use heating oil, estimate total gallons purchased per year and divide by 12 to calculate your monthly oil use. Enter that figure in the first field then click the "x" button to calculate monthly household emissions.
