Gov. Gregoire�s statement on the Wild Sky Wilderness Area congressional approval

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire today issued the following statement on the approval of the Wild Sky Wilderness Area by Congress:

�This is a monumental step forward in preserving wilderness areas for future generations. I congratulate Senator Patty Murray and Representative Rick Larsen on their successful efforts through the years to keep this legislation moving and for never giving up on this worthy cause.

�The Wild Sky Wilderness plays a major role in preserving and enriching water quality and wildlife habitat in Washington. These are important contributions to our outstanding quality of life.�
