Governor Gregoire Takes Inaugural Flight on Aerom�xico

SEATTLE � Governor Chris Gregoire today proclaimed July 9, 2007 as Aerom�xico Day in honor of the new direct flight from Seattle to Mexico City. Governor Gregoire departed today with a delegation of Washington labor, business, agriculture and education representatives for a five-day mission to promote Washington goods and services in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

�We are excited to be on the inaugural direct flight, which will open the gate wider to opportunities for two-way business and tourism,� said Governor Gregoire. �We invite visitors from Mexico to experience all that the great state of Washington offers, including our wine and other culinary products, and our natural beauty and wildlife.�

The Washington delegation will promote tourism throughout their trip, including presentations highlighting the many opportunities to experience Washington.
