Governor Gregoire Urges Citizens to Assist in the Continuing Search for State Official Gilbert Gilman

OLYMPIA - Governor Chris Gregoire today urges anyone who was hiking in the Olympic National Park �Staircase� area on June 24th and 25th to contact the Thurston County Sheriff's Office at 360-704-2740.

"It is my hope, that with Gil's physical condition and coordination between those who may have seen him and the searchers, Gil will soon be reunited with his family and friends," said Governor Gregoire.

Gilbert Gilman, 47, was last seen at the Staircase Ranger Station in Olympic National Park on Saturday, June 24th, 2006. He is 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown and gray hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts and a blue or green Hawaiian shirt. Anyone who may have seen Mr. Gilman should call the Thurston County Sheriff's Office at 360-704-2740.
