Statement from Governor Gregoire on Dr. Leonard Peters

For Immediate Release: December 12, 2006

�I am sorry to hear that Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Director Dr. Len Peters will be leaving his position. He has capably guided PNNL to many successes and helped to grow Washington�s reputation as a leader in research and technology.

�Since I have been Governor, Len has been a wonderful partner and I will miss his leadership. I respect his passion for math and science on behalf of the students across our state and I wish him all the best as he moves on to the next chapter in his life.�
