Veterans Day 2006: A Message from Governor Chris Gregoire and First Mike

�On Veterans Day we take time to honor our brave veterans, but true gratitude comes by remembering and honoring their sacrifices every day of the year.

�Those who have risked their lives to protect our freedom and our way of life deserve our respect for their sacrifice. They are our true heroes.

�I hope you will join us as we pray for families throughout Washington and across the nation as they honor loved ones who have served � or are serving - in the Armed Forces, close to home and overseas. We also honor the memories of the courageous men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty and pray for the comfort of their friends and family.�
