Joint Statement Regarding Letter From Puget Sound Transit Agencies

Governor Chris Gregoire, Senator Mary Margaret Haugen, Representative Ed Murray:

�Together, the region and the state are moving forward to fight traffic congestion in the Puget Sound. We are pleased that leaders in this region, with input from citizens, will move forward to develop a roads and transit package to fight congestion in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties. This is the first step toward an integrated regional transportation package that leverages taxpayer investments and makes common sense traffic improvements.�
