Gov. Gregoire wagers salmon to Montana governor's buffalo steaks on outcome of Eastern Washington University - Montana State football game

OLYMPIA - Nov. 7, 2005 - Gov. Chris Gregoire and Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer have a friendly wager riding on the outcome of the Eastern Washington University�s Eagles football game with Montana State�s Bobcats. The game is Saturday, Nov. 12 in Cheney.

Gov. Gregoire is wagering a salmon she caught during a fishing trip to Westport, while Gov. Schweitzer has anted up five buffalo steaks from his ranch in Montana.

�Brian Schweitzer is a friend and a good governor, but he shouldn�t think he�s going to get the salmon I fought so hard to catch,� she said. �Go, Eagles!�

Gov. Gregoire will attend the game in Cheney and participate in the coin toss with Gov. Schweitzer.

The all time win-loss record for the rivals is Eastern Washington 20, MSU 8. The Eagles have won the last two matches with last year�s victory of 51-44 occurring in overtime in Bozeman.
