Gov. Gregoireï¿½s statement on Tacoma teacher strike

OLYMPIA ï¿½ Gov. Chris Gregoire today issued the following statement on the Tacoma teacher strike:

ï¿½I join every parent who expects the Tacoma school district and the teachers union to go to the table and work tirelessly over the weekend to reach an agreement, and ensure the 28,000 students affected are back in school Monday morning.

ï¿½I urge the mediator involved to get both sides to reach common ground.ï¿½
