Gov. Gregoire's statement on Bridgeport High School

Gov. Chris Gregoire today issued the following statement about Bridgeport High School and President Obama�s Commencement Challenge:

�President Obama�s Commencement Challenge has highlighted some of the most innovative and inspiring high schools across the country. Bridgeport High School fits that category and the story of its students has, up until now, been largely untold. The students have shown that dedication, hard work and determination pay off. With 100 percent of the students on the free- or reduced-price lunch program they are rising above odds and breaking barriers of the past. All of the senior class has been accepted to college, which is something to celebrate. They have made Washington proud.�
