Gov. Gregoire praises company expansion, new jobs in Port Angeles

For Immediate Release: December 8, 2010

OLYMPIA Gov. Chris Gregoire today released the following statement regarding the decision of Angeles Composite Technologies, Inc. to expand into the Port of Port Angeles Composites Manufacturing Campus and hire 100 new employees in the area:

Our states leadership in the aerospace industry is well known, and the decision of Angeles Composite Technologies, Inc. to expand and create jobs is great news. This expansion will create 100 new, living-wage jobs at a time when far too many Washingtonians are out of work and struggling to pay their bills. ACTI has grown steadily over the past few years and we look forward to supporting its future growth.

The only way to climb out of this recession is to create jobs one at a time. I congratulate and thank the Port of Port Angeles, the Clallam Economic Development Council and the Department of Commerce, along with the City of Port Angeles and Peninsula College for their teamwork to bring these jobs to the Olympic Peninsula.
