Gov. Gregoire�s statement on appointment of Regional Director of Health and Human Services

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire today issued the following statement on the announcement that Susan Johnson has been appointed the Regional Director of Health and Human Services for Region X:

�I am delighted that Susan has been appointed to this position. Susan has had a life long interest and career in improving health care for Washingtonians. For more than a decade, she has been leading the King County Health Action Plan, pulling together a wide-range of interests to improve the health outcomes for residents through innovative and collaborative strategies. Susan is considered a leader among her peers, and I am confident her leadership abilities and broad knowledge of health care issues will serve her well in this new role, and most importantly, will serve the people in all of Region X well.�
