Joint statement from Gov. Gregoire and Superintendent Dorn on Kent teacher strike

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire and Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn today issued the following statement on the agreement reached in the Kent school district:

�We are pleased the Kent School District and the Kent Education Association have reached this critical agreement. Both sides negotiated in good faith � and kept students their number one priority. It is imperative that children get back in the classroom, and we are delighted that school doors will re-open as early as tomorrow. We now urge both sides to move forward, and continue to provide a quality education to the 26,000 students who attend Kent schools.�
