Gov. Gregoire orders flags flown half-staff March 26 to honor fallen soldier from Wenatchee

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire today directed that flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, March 26, in memory of U. S. Army Pfc. Court D. Haugen, 23, of Wenatchee, who died March 11 in Germany. He was returning to Ft. Lewis after serving 15 months in Iraq.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Thursday, March 26, or first thing Friday morning.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
