Gov. Gregoire orders flags flown at half-staff

For Immediate Release: January 9, 2009

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at the Flag Circle at the Capitol Campus and at the Temple of Justice be lowered to half-staff Friday, Jan. 9, in memory of Harold �Barney� Goltz. Goltz was a former Washington State Representative (1973-1975) and Senator (1975-1987) representing the 42nd Legislative District. Goltz passed away Thursday, December 25.


Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset Friday or first thing Saturday morning, Jan. 10.
