Gov. Gregoire�s statement on the passing of state Rep. Bill Grant

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire issued the following statement today on the passing of state Rep. Bill Grant, D-Walla Walla:

�I am personally saddened by the loss of Bill Grant. Bill dedicated the last 22 years to serving the citizens of Washington in the state House of Representatives, and was an important voice not only for agriculture and the East side of the state, but for all Washingtonians. Bill was a salt of the earth type of guy. What you saw was what you got. And what you got was a good legislator, a good man and a good friend.

�He will truly be missed by his community, as well as his colleagues in the legislature. All flags on the Capitol campus will be lowered in Bill�s remembrance. My family and I will keep his loved ones in our prayers.�
