Gov. Christine Gregoire announces appointments to boards and commissions

OLYMPIA � June 6, 2005 � Gov. Christine Gregoire today announced appointments to the following boards and commissions:

Board of Accountancy
Edwin Jolicoeur of Spokane has been appointed to a term effective June 6, 2005, ending June 9, 2007. Jolicoeur is the owner/member of LeMaster & Daniels PLLC and is the director of quality control/accounting and auditing. He is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the government affairs committee. The board regulates public accounting through examinations, licensing, complaint investigation and continuing professional education.

Board of Industrial Appeals
Calhoun Dickinson of Seattle has been reappointed to a term effective June 17, 2005, ending June 17, 2011. The board hears and makes final decisions on industrial insurance appeals.

Central Washington University Board of Trustees
Jack Frost of Ellensburg has been appointed as Student Trustee to term effective June 30, 2005, ending May 31, 2006. Frost is majoring in information technology and administrative management. The board of trustees is the governing body for the Central Washington University.

Lottery Commission
William Hanson of Olympia has been appointed to a term effective June 6, 2005, ending August 2, 2010. Hanson is the executive director of the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs. He has 31 years of law enforcement experience; serving as president and vice president of the Washington State troopers association; detective with the narcotics division and a trooper assigned to Seattle, Everett and Olympia. Hanson is also a combat veteran having served in Vietnam. The commission adopts rules to establish and operate the state lottery; sets prices of tickets, prizes, frequency of contests, manner and time of payments to winners; and licenses lottery ticket agents and sets their compensation.
