On July 28, 1977, this office issued Executive Order 77-05, the purpose of which was to implement the State's involvement in the granting of minority contracts. Since earlier Executive Orders on the subject were not specifically rescinded into by the later order some difficulty has arisen in going forward with the goals outlined in EO 77-05.
Accordingly, in a resolve of this problem,
NOW THEREFORE, I, Dixy Lee Ray, Governor of the State of Washington, do hereby order and direct the following:
1. All of the provisions of Executive Order 75-10 and Executive Order 77-01 are hereby rescinded and paragraph II of EO 77-05 is amended accordingly.
2. All of the other provisions of Executive Order 77-05 dated July 28, 1977, are hereby reaffirmed.
