It has come to my attention that the Mayor and all five members of the Town Council of the Town of Spangle, Spokane County, Washington, have submitted their resignations effective 2:00 o'clock p.m., December 28, l973. It is necessary for the continued operation and provision of essential governmental services in Spangle, for the Governor to appoint three new members to the Town Council thereby constituting a quorum, who in turn will appoint the successors to the two remaining vacancies. The newly constituted Town Council would then appoint a new Mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, do by virtue of the power vested in me, appoint the following named persons as members of the Town Council of the Town of Spangle, Washington, to serve until they or their successors are elected at the next general election to the unexpired terms to which they are appointed.
Albert Rasmussen to the vacancy created by the resignation of Delbert Hoffman.
John Gray to the vacancy created by the resignation of Earl Tuttle.
Glenn Schutter to the vacancy created by the resignation of Ernest Groth.
have hereunto set
my hand and caused the seal of the State of
Washington to be affixed at Olympia this
28th day of December A.D., Nineteen hundred and seventy-three.
Daniel J. Evans
Secretary of State
