EXECUTIVE ORDER  72-06

WHEREAS, I have been advised by the Director, Washington State Department of Emergency Services, that the flood damage which occurred in Okanogan County, Washington, on 31 May 1972 has created a threat to the health and welfare of that area; and

WHEREAS, the local authorities are in need of assistance to alleviate this emergency and return normal control to proper authorities;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington by virtue of authority vested in me by Title 38-08 and Title 43-06, Revised Code of Washington, do hereby direct The Adjutant General of the State of Washington to place on duty such troops and equipment of the Washington National Guard necessary to assist the local authorities in maintaining and restoring law and order and protection of life and property.
