With record high gas and food prices Washingtonians are struggling to keep up. I encourage you to contribute to the 6th Annual Strike Out Hunger Day at Safeco Field on Saturday, June 14 sponsored by the Mariners, Northwest Harvest and KOMO.

Volunteers will be outside the gates of the ballpark to accept donations of cash and non-perishable food items starting at 5:00 p.m. Game time on Saturday vs. the Washington Nationals is 7:10 p.m. Collections will continue at the gates until around 7:30 p.m.

Donations are also being accepted online at www.northwestharvest.org.

Northwest Harvest is Washington's only statewide hunger relief agency. It secures more than 18 million pounds of food for distribution to nearly 300 member food banks and meal programs and operates the Cherry Street Food Bank in downtown Seattle.
