Agency History: The Industrial Development Corporation is a public corporation created by city ordinance, as authorized in RCW 39.84, for the purpose of facilitating economic development and employment opportunities within the city. See City of Anacortes Ordinance 1871, 1, 1982. The Port of Anacortes’ five member Port Commission serves as the Board of Directors for the Industrial Development Corporation.
