1860 Cowlitz Federal Census 
Introduction:
Enumerators were given five months, starting on June 1, 1860, to travel around the expansive territory and collect census information. The completed sheets were then sent to the United States Census Bureau. However, in several instances, County Auditors made a copy of their county’s census sheets for local use; some of those still exist and are held by the Washington State Archives.

There are 450 names listed on this census.
