Summer Reading Challenge

Prizes!

All young people who reported meeting the 2004 Governor's Summer Reading Challenge goal by Sept. 18, 2004, will receive a certificate from Governor Locke recognizing their summer reading success.

The parents of the children chosen at random in the drawings for the Alaska Airlines Disneyland prize and the Verizon Foundation book prizes have been notified.

The certificates were mailed on October 11, 2004.

Families of employees of the Office of the Governor, the Office of Financial Management, and the Department of Information Services were not eligible to receive prizes offered by the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge.

Children must be residents of Washington State to participate in the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge and be eligible for the prize drawings.
