EXECUTIVE ORDER  74-01

WHEREAS, I have been advised that a major flood has occurred in the State of Washington, which poses a threat to this State, and that the State Office of Emergency Services does not have sufficient manpower or equipment to contain the threat.

WHEREAS, the local authorities are in need of assistance to alleviate this emergency and return normal control to proper authorities.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, by virtue of authority vested in me by Title 38.08 and Title 43.06, Revised Code of Washington do hereby direct The Adjutant General of the State of Washington to place on duty such troops and equipment of the Washington National Guard necessary to assist the State Office of Emergency Services for protection of public health and welfare from the hazards of this major flood.
